Gini Brown is a German American alternative rock artist from Zurich who makes music for people who feel deeply and sometimes struggle to put it into words. Her sound combines raw vocals, distorted guitars and honest lyrics, moving between vulnerability, anger, grief, self doubt and hope. Reminiscent of Paramore, Nothing But Thieves, Wet Leg and Radiohead. Born in New York and raised between Germany, the Romandie and Zurich, Gini found her way into music through acting and musical theatre before writing her own songs at 16. One of the first people to truly believe in her dream was her late friend Claire Braun. Claire’s support gave Gini the confidence to imagine a future in music, and her legacy lives on in Gini’s name. Before becoming a full time musician, Gini studied Environmental Sciences at ETH Zurich and worked as a scientist at The Ocean Cleanup. In 2022, she decided to leave her science career behind and pursue music. She later spent several years working in the music industry as a music editor before going all in. Since then, Gini has built a growing live and media presence in Switzerland and Germany. She has played at Montreux Jazz Festival, Seaside Festival, Kultling Festival, Winterthurer Musikfestwochen, Slopesound Festival and Vorstadt Sounds, and supported artists including Vlad Holiday in Zurich and Ikan Hyu on their Germany tour. Her music has received airplay on SRF 3, Couleur3, RTS Option Musique, Kanal K, Radio 3fach and other stations, and her song «Hurt» was featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds GSA playlist. Her music has been covered by outlets including DIFFUS, starzone, Ron Orp, Daily Rock and Frontview Magazine, and her debut EP «Sun Down» was released in February 2026.
